Quincy LeNear Gossfield and Deondray Gossfield are the creators of the award-winning anthology series, THE DL CHRONICLES, which premiered internationally on pay cable network Here! TV in 2007. THE DL CHRONICLES, a series about men of color who lead double lives, is now in preproduction of its second season. In May 2008, THE DL CHRONICLES won the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Television Movie, Mini-series, or Anthology. It earned the added distinction of being the first African American television series to be nominated and to win the GLAAD Media Award.
LeNear & Gossett were recognized by The California State Assembly in 2007 for their outstanding contribution to the State of California and the LGBT Community. They were also invited speakers for the 2007 Equality Forum in Philadelphia.
In May 2008, they were panelists at the Academy of Television Arts & Science’s “LGBT: Above and Below the Line in Prime”, the Academy’s first “state of the union” review and celebration of LGBT contributions to television. The panel included Emmy award-winning actor Billy Crystal, Showtime Networks president, Robert Greenblatt, Emmy award-winning writer, Bruce Vilanch and Emmy-nominated series creator, Craig Wright (DIRTY SEXY MONEY).
Prior to their success with THE DL CHRONICLES, their first film, Had U, won Best Experimental Short Film at the Showtime Alternative Digital Film Festival in 2001. They made their short narrative directorial debut with OF DEATH AND DYING in 2003.
As Reality TV producers they have been responsible for the success of such shows as Kocktails with Khloe, The World Dog Awards, Comedy Central Justin Bieber Roast, Disney’s Shake It Up Dance Off, ABC’s The Family Dance Off, The Sing Off and MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew to name a few.
